The River Hotel is a 10 minute walk from the centre of Oxford.

From the city and bus/coach station: follow signs to the Railway Station, via Park End street or Hythe Bridge street. Walk under the Railway Bridge, keep walking straight and the hotel is 100 metres ahead on your left, beside the River Thames.

From Platform 1 - main exit: turn immediately right out of the station building, pass the bicycle park and cross the Botley road footbridge, walk down the steps (or use the ramp), turn left to walk underneath the railway bridge and 100 metres further on, on the left hand side, just before you reach the river you will see the blue canopies and window boxes of the River Hotel.

From Platform 2 - our side of the station: during peak hours the platform 2 ticket barrier should be open, which will save you some time. If the ticket barrier is operating, turn left out of the station and walk down the slope. After 50 metres, turn right onto the Botley road and just 50 metres away you will see the hotel on the opposite side of the road - there is a strategically placed pedestrian crossing to make use of. (If the ticket barrier is closed, follow the exit instructions from Platform 1).

Using Sat-Nav: Enter "OX2 0AJ" and listen to your assistant, while trying to avoid the centre of Oxford during the day time. Eventually you will be on the Botley road and directed to turn in to Mill street: take the first right and follow the small lane to our car park and the rear of the hotel.

From Ring Road: Leave the ring road (A34) on the west exit at the Botley Interchange. Turn left onto Botley road (A420). The hotel is on the right one mile towards the city centre. As you cross the River Thames you will pass the hotel, turn next right into MILL street, then directly right again at the SLOW sign. This lane is the only access to the car park at the rear of the hotel.

From City Centre: Follow signs to the rail station, pass under the railway bridge and turn left into Mill street and directly right again. This lane is the only access to the car park at the rear of the Hotel. Please be aware that the High Street in the City Centre is closed to general traffic from 07:00 until 18:30 daily.

Car parking is a perennial problem in Oxford - but not for our guests. We have ample on site parking at the rear of the Hotel, approached from Mill Street. The car park is protected by CCTV and it is FREE and exclusive to residents.
